Turkey blocks unregistered phones after using local networks for about 90 days.
According to Turkish laws, you can use a local eSIM/SIM or even roaming eSIM, only for a period of 90 out of 120 days without registering your phone.
After that, your phone will not be able to connect to a local network anymore.
To check the status of your phone and ascertain whether it has been blocked, visit https://www.turkiye.gov.tr/imei-sorgulama and input your phone's IMEI number.
The easiest way to check IMEI on a smartphone is to dial *#06#, after which the number should appear on the screen. Dual-SIM phones show two IMEI numbers — one for each SIM slot. It is a good idea to write down the mobile device's IMEI number and keep it safe if you need to report it.
Unfortunately, the only way to unlock it is to pay the taxes for registration. You can inquire about this process in local operator shops in Turkey.
